Hometown News

The Office of Communications regularly distributes news releases announcing graduation, awards, offices held and other student accomplishments to the hometown newspapers of our current students.

To have the Office of Communications send a press release for you, please complete and return our Hometown News Form to the address listed on the form. Due to the high volume of these releases, it may take longer than you expect for the release to reach your paper of choice.

To expediate the process, you may request and forward the template directly to your hometown newspaper. To request the template release, please contact Mike Robertson with the student’s full name, major and class year.

When sending the template release to the newspaper, you may also wish to include a photo of the student; if you do so by mail, remember to include the student's name on the back of the photo.
